Most business blogs and websites receive spam comments. Usually, I just delete them and move on.
This recent one, however, is spamtastic (reproduced here, typos and all):
Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
It's evident this is someone who prefers words to videos. It's also clear this someone doesn't actually read this blog or my website, because there isn't a single video embedded anywhere. (Full disclosure: There are a few embedded documents and slide presentations.)
Feedback indicates other readers find the content to be useful, informative and high quality, if not enlightening.
Instead of being annoyed, I opted for laughter – and hope you did, too. Now that we've all had a chuckle, I'll send that comment off to the digital dustbin, since it appears to be spam. Have a good day and a great weekend.
