When the Dayton Public Schools retained Crossbridge to help develop the district's first comprehensive Academic Plan, it was clear the first step of the process was not planning – it was strategic analysis. (We call this stage the front-end analysis or FEA.)
Throughout this and subsequent phases, we worked closely with the Lori Ward (superintendent), Linnae Clinton (chief of curriculum and instruction) and the DPS executive leadership team.
Throughout this and subsequent phases, we worked closely with the Lori Ward (superintendent), Linnae Clinton (chief of curriculum and instruction) and the DPS executive leadership team.
Key findings and performance benchmarks were captured in a print report and high-level slide presentation, called Meeting the Challenge. The goal was to provide a compact but accurate synopsis of the district's academic performance and the challenges it faced as it prepared to develop a meaningful, realistic Academic Plan.
These materials were presented to a range of internal and external groups ranging from the School Board, executive leadership team, principals and teachers to parents, special interest groups and the general community. The presentation is also featured on the district's website.
