Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is one of the fastest growing technical colleges in Ohio.
President Bonnie Coe, Ph.D., and the talented COTC leadership team have expanded programming and services, increased enrollment, implemented an ever-growing array of online learning, and established full-service campuses in Newark, Coshocton, Knox County and Pataskala.
This success is due in part to the college's rigorous self-study planning and analysis process that led to an extremely successful reaccreditation review in 2008. I worked with both the president and the core team throughout the process, providing consulting, planning and communications services.
Dr. Coe said she was both pleased and proud to present the Self-Study materials to the
Higher Learning Commission, and noted, "As a result of the Self-Study, we have a core team
of champions empowered to own their processes and outcomes."
The Higher Learning Commission was so impressed with the caliber of the Self-Study and Executive Summary, they were featured as models for colleges preparing to launch self-study and accreditation processes.
The full report is quite lengthy, but the Executive Summary provides useful highlights. It has been widely shared with business, industry and community leaders to spotlight COTC's achievements and its plans for the future.
