What will the future bring? I don't know, but it will be exciting. NEIL ARMSTRONGNeil Armstrong died Saturday, August 25. He was many things: A small-town Ohio boy, Korean War veteran, astronaut and the first person to set foot on the moon.
Armstrong was a man who avoided publicity and shunned celebrity. He's best known for his statement marking the first moon landing: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
In his commencement address to the University of Southern California in 2005, he said, "[Y]ou cannot imagine the change and related opportunity that will arise for you in the years ahead."
Armstrong, through word and deed, encouraged all of us to dare to dream. Why? Because there are big ideas out there waiting to be discovered, and the future will be exciting.
Thank you, Neil Armstrong, for your remarkable achievements and humility. You will be missed.
