Aristotle's Success Strategy

It’s true. There’s nothing new under the sun.

Take the need to plan for success, for example.

We struggle with this challenge today, and as nearly as I can determine, that struggle has gone on for at least 2300 years. Here's the proof.

Aristotle (384-324 BC) wrote with remarkable clarity and simplicity this timeless advice for achieving success and happiness:

First, have a definite, clear practical ideal: a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends: wisdom, money, materials and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end.

In other words:

1. Define obtainable goals
2. Acquire the means to achieve the goals
3. Devote all your resources to that end

We’d all be wise to follow Aristotle's success strategy. It’s short, sweet and right on target.
